Junior Livestock Auction

Be a buyer at the Junior Livestock Auction!
Sunday, June 2nd at 10am at the Livestock Arena

The Junior Livestock Auction at the Contra Costa County Fair was developed to educate junior exhibitors in livestock marketing. The animals sold at the auction have been raised and shown by youth of Contra Costa County. They have been judged by qualified judges and have been determined to be market ready. Cookout Contest
Entry Fee: $10 per entry
Premiums Offered Per Class: 1st $100, 2nd $75, 3rd $50
Class:
1. Fish/Seafood
2. Poultry
3. Ribs
4. Roasts and or steak
5. Chili Cook Off
6. Anything other than above
 
Rules:
1.) Entry forms must be submitted by May 17, 2013 by 5pm
2.) Entrants should report to the Family Area on June 1st by 11am but may start cooking any time after 9am Strictly Enforced
3.) Contestants must bring their own barbecue equipment, charcoal, and all the ingredients for their entry
4.) All cooking must be done at the Fair location
5.) Any adult or team who enjoys amateur outdoor cooking is invited to enter. Amateur is defined as a person who engages in an event or activity as a pastime rather than a profession.
6.) No limit on entries. See State Rule IV-6A
7.) No charcoal lighter fluid may be used
8.) The Fair reserves the right to approve any signs, banners or other commercial advertising media displayed by contestant
9.) One picnic table and one 8ft table will be provided
10.) Hot ash must be disposed of in provided container

Then be sure to enter the Contra Costa County Fair's competitive exhibits!! There’s something for everyone.

Paper entries are currently being accepted now through April 30th, 2013. Online entries will open April 1, 2013.

Entry Deadlines:
Entry deadlines have been extended!
Paper entries are due by April 30th, 2013, at 5pm.
Online entries are due by May 5th, 2013 at midnight.
Coloring Contest entries are due by May 17th, 2013 at 5pm.
